Cristiano Ronaldo's Warm Welcome in Iran
Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, received a heartfelt reception during his visit to Iran. This visit marks the first time a Saudi team has traveled to Iran since 2016, as they prepare to compete in the Asian Champions League group stage.
Al-Nassr is set to face the Iranian team Persepolis in Group E, while Qatar's Al-Duhail will play against Tajikistan's Istiklol Dushanbe.

Despite security efforts to control the crowd, fans even gathered around the team's hotel. Chants of Ronaldo's name filled the air, and both children and women held up pictures of the Portuguese captain.
AFC Announcement
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced that matches between Saudi and Iranian teams would now be played on a home-and-away basis, following an agreement between the two national federations.
Gift from Persepolis Fans
During the visit, Al-Nassr shared photos of Cristiano Ronaldo receiving a luxurious hand-made Iranian carpet as a gift from Persepolis supporters. The fans expressed their warm welcome, stating that the carpet was created by Iranian artists to commemorate Ronaldo's presence in Iran.
